Optiwave™ LED chemical free Technology
An LED bulb produces light by passing the electric current through a semiconducting material—the diode—which then emits photons (light). The material used in the diode determines many aspects of an LED’s characteristics including wavelength, colour and energy efficiency. UVC LED’s use specific materials in the diode to produce a radiative recombination in the UVC range.
UVClear™ technology ensures the UVC light is transmitted directly from source to target for maximum intensity.
Converting up to 90% of energy into light and up to 66% more efficient than fluorescent counterparts, UVC LED’s are simply superior.
Using Cooltouch™ Technology the Lumicare ONE’s disinfection chamber is not heated throughout the disinfection cycle unlike other disinfection devices.
This means the Lumicare ONE is small enough to be placed on a bench for easy access. No more bending to work with a floor based device.
Utilising Optiwave™ UVC Wavelengths between 265-276nm provides a high degree of germicidal efficacy.
Lumicare ONE does not use toxic chemicals for disinfection. Our UVC LED’s do not contain mercury which is commonly used in fluorescent tubes.
Regular switching on/off does not impact the LED’s efficiency or lifespan. Unlike traditional methods, the LED’s in the Lumicare ONE are not designed to be replaced during the product’s life. This means drastically reduced maintenance costs and less downtime.

UVClear™
A uniquely designed chamber controls LED distribution and uniform irradiation to ensure a direct line-of-sight to the ultrasound probe and handle, maximising intensity. Direct Light Motion ensures light travels directly from the LED Semiconductor to the probe whilst real-time photonic dose monitoring ensures each cycle receives the required UVC dose to achieve High-Level Disinfection.
OptiWave™
Through the use of our high-powered LED semiconductors, OptiWave™ technology ensures the optimum UVC wavelength for germicidal efficacy. OptiWave™ delivers wavelengths of 265-275nm, producing proven results through reliable control.
CoolTouch™
Our CoolTouch™ Technology ensures the Lumicare system operates at lower temperatures than traditional methods. Heat is dissipated to the exterior of the disinfection chamber whilst the interior remains cool. This Low Temperature Photonic Disinfection reduces the likelihood of thermal burns and helps prolong the life of your ultrasound probes. CoolTouch™ means a safer working environment for you and your colleagues.
A system tailor-made for you, to solve today's problems and design a new tomorrow.
UVC Photodiode Sensitivity Curve
01
The two Photodiodes measure the UVC radiation dose independently, and a mutual supervision between the two Photodiodes is performed. The system can immediately detect the abnormalities caused by photodiode or the UVC LED.
02
The dose measurement is performed in real-time, meaning a successful HLD is performed as soon as the measured dose meets the required UVC radiation dose for HLD.
03
In case the measured dose does not reach the required UVC radiation dose for HLD and the disinfection time exceeds the preset time limit, a timeout warning is raised.
04
The two Photodiodes are calibrated with a LUMICARE-specific routine, ensuring a high-precision dose measurement.
